Get freedom from stress and pressure

Everyone suffers from anxiety, and everyone experiences stress in their life and it has become a norm in today's era.

It can be due to many factors, like studies, work, poor financial condition, being broke, not getting a job, suffering from imposter syndrome in the workplace, getting fired or having a fear of getting fired from current employment, people's opinions and their expectations, feeling stuck in life, relationships and so on. Right from students to working professionals, etc. Everyone has something that stresses them a lot in their life.

Instead of panicking after facing those things that are triggering you, it's important to understand how you deal with them.

So, how are you going to deal with the things that are triggering you?

Firstly, take a deep breath and calm yourself down. Why?

Because your mind functions well and you can able to think effectively and take wise decisions only when you're calm and at peace, not when your mind is cluttered with dreadful thoughts.

Questions to ask yourself before taking any action towards your problem

Ask yourself simple questions like,

why am I so tense?

what makes me sad?

Why is it bothering me so much?

Is it really important or am I stressing myself out unnecessarily?

If it's necessary, how can I able to solve this problem?

How to solve any problem?

If the problem is small and simple, you can try to solve it in your mind but if it's huge, then try to solve it on a piece of paper.

Don't try to solve bigger problems in your mind, it'll make your problems worse and you'll end up making some unethical decisions which are not good for your mental health too, in fact, you'll be tenser and you'll feel more stressed than earlier.

Now try to solve a basic mathematical problem, say 2+2, without even thinking you can answer this question because it's simple.

Now let's try to solve another one, let's say 246 + 16.

For this problem, you'll try to solve it in your mind and you'll get it.

But if I ask you to solve a bigger problem like 45612 x 75320, and you won't be able to solve it in your mind because it's not simple like the previous ones, even if you try to solve it in your mind, it'll take more time, and most probably your answer could be wrong (unless you're a human calculator) because it's complicated.

You need to try to solve it either on a piece of paper or on a calculator, then you will be able to get the answer accurately and in less time. So that's how you'll make yourself stress-free from all the problems.

Factors for being stressed

The major problem in the world with being stressed that the majority of people are facing right now is because of poor financial conditions, people and desires and out of these, the most important is your finances.

The real reason for many divorces, family disputes, toxic relationships, or chaos in relationships is mostly due to poor financial conditions and lack of financial discipline. (lack of financial discipline refers to your spending habits)

Living on a financial edge not only makes your life miserable but also takes away your goodness in you and turns you into something that you weren't before and affects your health.

In this fast pace world, and growing inflation rate, being poor in this era is actually more expensive than you think. This doesn't mean becoming rich is necessary for survival. No, you can survive and live happily by living a simple life and you don't need a lot of money to survive if you have food to eat, clothes to wear, shelter to live and a loving family.

This also doesn't mean that wealth is more important than relationships and your health. In fact, it's in reverse order, your health is way more important than anything else, followed by relationships and then wealth.

If you're stressed financially, you need to consider reflecting on your finances, and your financial discipline.

So how to take your financial stress away from yourself?

  1. Raise above your money

    The best way to be stress-free is to always live below your means. Your needs should not exceed your income. If you want to increase your needs then you need to have more money than your needs.

    How can you have more money when your income is fixed?

    Create multiple streams of income, you can start your side hustles while not affecting your job, it can be anything based upon your interests.

    Creating multiple streams of income doesn't mean generating income with different skill sets, No, you can create multiple streams of income with just one skill that you currently have.

    For instance, if you're good at coding, you can teach others how to code by creating a course, creating and selling your own software products, etc.

    By this, you can able to have more money without even affecting your job.

    Now, you can able to increase your needs based on your income.

    If you want to fulfil your desires then you need to increase your income.

    First, increase your income then later increase your expenses.

    “Desire is a contract that you make with yourself to be unhappy until you get what you want.”

    Everyone has some desires and they try to fulfil them based on how far they can go to achieve them and how crazy they can become for their desires.

    These desires can increase your stress levels just because you're unable to fulfil them or it's taking away your time and energy to fulfil and later you are unable to make it. So you can have one desire at a time.

    Make sure these desires aren't making you weak financially.

    Your expenses should always be lower than your income.

  3. Stop comparing to others

    Comparing ourselves with others has become a norm in our society. Unnecessarily you keep yourself in a loop of comparison to compete with others and to try to be better than them when in reality you are again signing a contract to be unhappy just like in the case of desires.

    This creates pressure in your mind to outperform others just to satisfy your ego or to downgrade yourself and feel like a failure.

    Neither you need to put yourself higher than others to satisfy your ego, nor do you need to downgrade yourself in comparison to others. So, stop comparing yourself to others.

  4. Have zero expectations

    Finally, the last thing to get freedom from stress and pressure is to have zero expectations for everything and from everyone.

    Whether your expectations are getting fulfilled or not, you'll still be stressing yourself, so it's better to have zero expectations with everything.
